PURPLEBOY (Alexandre Siqueira, Portugal-Francia-Bélgica, 2019, 13’)
Óscar es un niño que brota en el jardín de sus padres. Nadie conoce su sexo biológico pero él reivindica el género masculino. Un día Óscar vive una extraordinaria pero dolorosa aventura en un mundo autoritario y opresivo. ¿Conseguirá tener el reconocimiento de identidad que tanto desea? Basado parcialmente en el libro Viagem solitária, historia del primer transexual operado en Brasil. / Oscar is a boy who sprouts from his parents' garden. Nobody knows his biological sex, but he insists that he is male. One day Oscar has a remarkable but painful adventure in an authoritarian and oppressive world. His heart’s desire is for his identity to be recognised - will he obtain this recognition? Partly based on Viagem solitária, the story of the first transsexual to undergo surgery in Brazil.

TIO TOMÁS, A CONTABILIDADE DOS DIAS (Regina Pessoa, Portugal-Canadá-Francia, 2019, 13’)
La historia se presenta en forma de carta escrita al tío de una joven, el tío Thomas, al que se describe como "extraño", ya que no tenía trabajo fijo, esposa ni hijos. Sin embargo, a la joven le resulta fascinante, extraordinario y digno de confianza. Homenaje al tío de Regina Pessoa en la vida real, que sufría un trastorno obsesivo compulsivo, y que fue decisivo en hacerla seguir una carrera artística. / The story takes the form of a letter written by a young woman to her Uncle Thomas, who is described as “strange” because he has never had a steady job, a wife or children. But to this young woman, he is fascinating, extraordinary and trustworthy. A tribute to Regina Pessoa's real-life uncle, who suffered from obsessive-compulsive disorder and was instrumental in steering her towards an artistic career.

ELO (Alexandra Ramires, Portugal, 2020, 11’)
Parece que la naturaleza hace bien las cosas. Y, sin embargo, Él y Ella son dos almas solitarias, prisioneras en un cuerpo que no les corresponde. Un ave de mal agüero va a hacer, a su pesar, que se conozcan. Y hará que caigan las máscaras. / Nature seems to get things right. And yet, He and She are two lonely souls, trapped in bodies that are not theirs. A bird of ill omen will bring them together, in spite of themselves. And make the masks fall.

A MENINA PARADA (Joana Toste, Portugal, 2021, 9’)
Una niña se pierde de su madre y se niega a moverse del mismo sitio. Un policía detiene a todos los demás para obligarla a moverse. La niña quieta y el policía que la vigila detienen el tráfico y agitan los corazones de la ciudad. Toste es una de las principales realizadoras de animación portuguesas contemporáneas. / A girl becomes separated from her mother and refuses to move from the spot. A policeman stops everyone else to force her to move. The girl, rooted to the spot, and the policeman keeping an eye on her stop the traffic and stir the hearts of the city. Toste is one of Portugal's leading directors of contemporary animation.

ALENTO (Leonor Pacheco, Portugal, 2022, 4’)
A altas horas de la noche, una forma intenta conciliar el sueño. Luchando por mantener el control, queda atrapada en ciclos viciosos de locura abstracta, creciendo visual y auditivamente en un conflicto visceral y extraño entre compresión y descompresión. / In the dead of night, a shape tries to fall asleep. Struggling to maintain control, it becomes trapped in vicious cycles of abstract madness, growing visually and aurally in a visceral and bizarre conflict between compression and decompression.

GARRANO (David Doutel, Vasco Sá, Portugal-Lituania, 2022, 14’)
Un caballo garrano, animal que vive en un estado semi salvaje en el norte de Portugal, es forzado a tirar de una pesada carga bajo un sol abrasador. Un joven descubre a un hombre a punto de incendiar un bosque. Las vidas del animal y de los hombres quedarán unidas en los trágicos hechos que ocurrirán a continuación. / A garrano, a horse that lives in a semi-wild state in the north of Portugal, is forced to pull a heavy load under a scorching sun. A young boy comes across a man who is about to set fire to a forest. The lives of the animal and the men are intertwined in the tragic events that ensue.

ICE MERCHANTS (Joao González, Portugal, Reino Unido, Francia, 2022, 14’)
Primer cortometraje de animación portugués galardonado en el festival de Cannes. Todos los días, un padre y su hijo saltan con un paracaídas desde su casa en un acantilado para ir al pueblo, donde venden hielo. Una mañana, la temperatura es tan cálida que no hay hielo que vender, y la nieve derretida cae con fuerza sobre la casa, separándola del acantilado. / The first Portuguese animated short film to win an award at the Cannes Film Festival. A father and son live in a house on top of a cliff. Every day, they parachute down to the village, where they sell ice. One morning, it is so warm that they have no ice to sell, and the melting snow falls heavily on the house, separating it from the cliff.

ANA MORPHOSE (Joao Rodrigues, Portugal, 2023, 10’)
Una niña lee hasta quedarse dormida. Mientras dormita, el mundo físico empieza a fundirse en una realidad alternativa en la que el contenido de un libro gobierna sobre las leyes de la física. Ana tiene que escapar de ser engullida por la abrumadora acumulación de conocimientos impresos y encontrar su propio espacio en un mundo donde nada es lo que parece. / A girl reads a book until she falls asleep. As she dozes, the physical world begins to merge into an alternate reality where the contents of a book override the laws of physics. Ana has to escape to avoid being swallowed up by the overwhelming accumulation of printed knowledge and find her own space in a world where nothing is as it seems.
