Inauguramos un premio internacional al mejor cortometraje animado de entre una veintena de películas mostradas y premiadas internacionalmente junto a otras apuestas del festival que suponen un reto en cuestión de límites técnicos, estéticos y narrativos.
La selección incluye estrenos de obras fantásticas o realistas que son verdaderas exploraciones del medio. Los programas combinan lo último de reconocidas firmas con lo más notable del talento emergente, en diversidad de técnicas y estilos, prueba viva de una expresión artística sin límites.

We are inaugurating an international prize for the best animated short film, featuring some twenty films that have already been screened and have won international awards, together with other films chosen for the festival that challenge technical, aesthetic and narrative limits.
The selection includes premières of fantastic or realistic works that really explore the medium. The programmes combine the latest offerings from well-known companies and outstanding works from emerging talent, in a diversity of techniques and styles, living proof of an artistic expression that knows no limits.

La trampa de una ratonera salta y se cierra. Un grupo de hombres discute sobre cómo matar al animal encerrado. Sin embargo, en este juego macabro, tanto la víctima como el torturador sufren el mismo fin.
A mousetrap snaps shut. A group of men discuss how to kill the animal in the little box. But as the macabre game unfolds, both victim and tormentor suffer the same fate.

Esta animación satírica analiza por qué se está produciendo el Brexit. Una selección de personajes británicos, entrevistados el día siguiente a la votación en la que el Reino Unido decidió abandonar la Unión Europea, hablan sobre qué motivó su decisión.
This satirical animation considers why Brexit is happening. A variety of British characters, interviewed the day after the UK voted to leave the EU, speak about what motivated their decision.

FUENF | FIVE | CINCO (Peter Kaboth | Alemania | 2019 | 7’)    
El punto de partida es una rima infantil sobre una comunidad feliz en la que todo se rige por cinco reglas fijas. Pero esta comunidad se descontrola cuando dos personas se atreven a romper las estructuras.
The starting point is a nursery rhyme about a carefree community in which everything runs according to fixed rules. But this community gets out of hand as two of its members dare to break free from its structures.

Eli has lost a part of his being somewhere and now there is a huge void inside him. He will seek comfort from his family and look for a cure from a doctor, and his friends will try to react somehow.

Basada en El amor de Mitia de Boris Shergin. La historia cuenta cómo Mitia buscaba su amor. El film utiliza imágenes de maestros de la vanguardia rusos, así como de maestros del arte naïve. 
The film is based on Mitya's Love by Boris Shergin, and tells the tale of Mitya’s search for his lost love. The film uses images by masters of the Russian avant-garde as well as masters of naïve art.
