Animario 2023: Convocatoria para la Competición Internacional de Cortometrajes

El Festival Internacional de Animación Contemporánea de Madrid, ANIMARIO, que celebrará su sexta edición del 26 al 29 de octubre de 2023, apoya a los creadores del sector del cine animado con las convocatorias de sus dos premios: Premio ANIMARIO al Mejor Cortometraje Animado y Premio ANIMARIO a la Producción de Animación. Organizado por Matadero Madrid y Cineteca Madrid, centros culturales pertenecientes al Área de Cultura, Turismo y Deporte, ANIMARIO reunirá de nuevo la mejor animación contemporánea en Madrid con una amplia programación compuesta por proyecciones de largometrajes y cortometrajes, conferencias, clases magistrales y talleres.

El Premio Animario al Mejor Cortometraje Internacional tiene una dotación de 5.000 € y está abierto a la participación de trabajos de todo el mundo hasta 30 minutos de duración, creados en cualquier tipo de técnica animada. La convocatoria del premio está abierta hasta el 9 de julio de 2023 y espera recibir películas cortas de la mejor animación mundial para ser exhibidas dentro de la Sección Oficial de Cortometrajes del Festival.

El VI Premio ANIMARIO a la Producción de Animación está dirigido a proyectos nacionales de cortometraje independiente. Con el objetivo de generar una plataforma para el desarrollo del lenguaje y el arte en el campo de la animación, el Premio consiste en una ayuda de 18.000 € para la producción de un cortometraje de animación independiente. La convocatoria del premio estará abierta desde el 10 de julio hasta el 3 de septiembre de 2023 también en las webs de Matadero Madrid y Cineteca Madrid.

En la pasada edición del Festival el Premio ANIMARIO al Mejor Cortometraje Internacional fue otorgado a Les larmes de la Seine, de Yanis Belaid (en la foto superior). El Premio ANIMARIO a la Producción de Animación 2022, que contó con el patrocinio de Plaza Río2, fue para el proyecto Punto y línea sobre el cosmos, de Pablo Nicolás Martínez Ballarín.

The International Festival of Contemporary Animation of Madrid, ANIMARIO, which will celebrate its sixth edition from October 26 to 29, 2023, supports the creators of the animated film sector with the announcement of its two awards: ANIMARIO Award for Best International Short Film and ANIMARIO Award for Animation Production. Organized by Matadero Madrid and Cineteca Madrid, cultural centers belonging to the Department of Culture, Tourism and Sport of the Madrid City Council, ANIMARIO will once again bring together the best contemporary animation in Madrid with an extensive program consisting of feature and short film screenings, conferences, master classes and workshops.

The ANIMARIO Award for Best International Short Film has a prize of 5,000 € and is open to works from all over the world up to 30 minutes long, created in any type of animated technique. The call for entries is open until July 9, 2023 on the websites of Cineteca Madrid and Matadero Madrid, and hopes to receive short films of the best animation from around the world to be screened in the Official Short Film Section of the Festival.

The VI ANIMARIO Animation Production Award is aimed at national independent short film projects. With the aim of generating a platform for the development of language and art in the field of animation, the Award consists of a grant of €18,000 for the production of an independent animated short film. The call for entries will be open from July 10 until September 3, 2023, also on the websites of Matadero Madrid and Cineteca Madrid.

In the last edition of the Festival, the ANIMARIO Award for Best International Short Film went to Les Larmes de la Seine (The Seine's Tears), by Yanis Belaid. The ANIMARIO Award for Animation Production 2022, sponsored by Plaza Río2, went to the project Point and Line to the Cosmos, by Pablo Nicolás Martínez Ballarín.
